He ended up going to junior college in Kansas and then transferred to Iowa State where he finally got some major playing time After going undrafted in the NBA Draft he played for a few years in the minor leagues before getting his big break with the Spurs in 2016.

In July 2011, he was traded to the Iowa Energy, where he played one season before being acquired by the Lakers in August 2012.
Morales participated in training camp with the Lakers before being waived on October 26, 2012. After spending over a month without a team, he was acquired by the Erie BayHawks on December 28, 2012.
