The film, titled “Swoopes,” chronicles the life and career of the three-time Olympic gold medalist and four-time NBA Champion who is currently Head Coach of her alma mater, Houston Baptist University
The film, directed by Hannah Storm, is produced by ESPN Films and Gacer Productions. It provides an intimate look at Swoopes’ life, from her humble beginnings in a small Texas town to her illustrious career as a professional player and coach. In addition to interviews with Swoopes herself, the film features interviews with those who know her best, including her brother Horace Jr., former Houston Comets coach Van Chancellor, longtime friend and teammate Tina Thompson, and current HBU players.
