The Texas Tech University Red Raiders baseball team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, United States The team is a member of the Big 12 Conference, which is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s Division I. Texas Tech’s first Baseball Team was fielded in 1925. The team plays its home games at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park on the university’s campus. They are currently coached by Tim Tadlock.

The 2016 Texas Tech University baseball season was the Red Raiders’ 92nd season of varsity baseball and their 33rd season as a member of the Big 12 Conference. The Red Raiders played their home games at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park on the university’s campus in Lubbock, Texas. They were led by Head Coach Tim Tadlock, in his fourth season, and finished the season 46–18 overall and 16–8 in conference play to finish in third place. They qualified for the NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament for the fourth consecutive year and were selected as one of sixteen national seeds. They hosted a NCAA regional for the second consecutive year, defeating Florida 15–5 to advance to a Super Regional for the first time in school history where they lost two games to East Carolina

The 2015 Texas Tech University baseball season began on February 13, 2015, with a game against the Eastern Illinois Panthers. The team finished the regular season with a record of 38-19, 15-9 in conference play They qualified for the NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament as the number two seed in the Lubbock Regional They defeated Pepperdine and Sam Houston State to advance to the Super Regional where they lost to TCU.

Ranking Second in NCAA Division I baseball, the team made it all the way to the 2015 College World Series where they finished as Runner Up.

The 2014 Texas Tech Red Raiders baseball team represented Texas Tech University in the 2014 NCAA Division I baseball season The Red Raiders played their home games at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park. They were members of the Big 12 Conference. They were coached by Tim Tadlock in his 2nd season at Texas Tech

Texas Tech finished the season 42–22, 15–9 in Big 12 play to finish in a tie for second place. They qualified for the 2014 Big 12 Baseball Tournament where they defeated Oklahoma State before losing to TCU. They qualified for the 2014 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament where they defeated Pepperdine, Sam Houston State and Miami (FL) to advance to their first ever College World Series In the College World Series they lost their opening game against UCLA before being eliminated in an elimination game against Ole Miss

Texas Tech University Baseball Scores – 2013 Season

2013 marked the Texas Tech Red Raiders’ first season in the Big 12 Conference. The Red Raiders finished the season with an overall record of 45-21 and a conference record of 17-11, good for second place in the conference. The Red Raiders qualified for the NCAA tournament defeating Sam Houston State in the Opening Round before losing to Arkansas in the regional final.

Texas Tech University had a successful 2012 baseball season with a record of 43-19.

The team started the season strong, with a 13-2 win over Baylor University They continued their winning ways throughout the season, culminating in a berth in the NCAA Tournament

In the NCAA tournament Texas Tech defeated Louisiana State University and Oklahoma State University to advance to the Super Regional round. Unfortunately, they lost to the University of Florida and were eliminated from the tournament.

Despite not winning the NCAA tournament Texas Tech had a very successful season and is sure to be a force to reckon with in future years.
