Then, in 2017, he was arrested for attempted murder after shooting at two men who were trying to rob him. He pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to 10 Years in Prison but he was released on probation in 2018.
NBA Youngboy’s probation ended in 2019, but his struggles with addiction continued. In 2020, he overdosed on Xanax and Fentanyl; fortunately, he survived and checked into rehab shortly afterwards. Since then, he has been open about his struggles with addiction and is working hard to stay sober. In February 2021, he released the song “Drug Addiction”, in which he candidly discusses his battle with addiction.
