Kyla began to take basketball more seriously in high school She played on the varsity team all four years of high school and was captain her senior year. During her time on the varsity team, she helped lead her team to two state championships In addition to being a star on the court, Kyla is also an excellent student. She was recently accepted to Brigham Young University (BYU) on a full-ride scholarship.

Kyla Oldacre is one of the top High School basketball players in the country. She is a 6-foot-3-inch tall center who led her team to a state championship as a junior. She is ranked as the No. 2 player in her class by ESPN and has orally committed to play at the University of Connecticut
Oldacre began playing organized basketball in fifth grade. She played on an AAU team that won a National Championship when she was in eighth grade. She was named MVP of the tournament. Oldacre attended Montverde Academy a boarding school in Florida that is known for its Basketball Program She helped lead her team to a 92-1 record during her two years there.
Oldacre was named Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Florida as a junior. She averaged 17 points, 11 rebounds, and four blocks per game that season. Oldacre was also named First Team All-State and First Team All-Conference.

Kyla’s parents, Kerry and Mindy Oldacre, have been supportive of her throughout her basketball career Kerry coached Kyla when she was younger, and he has continued to be involved in her development as a player. Mindy has also been supportive, often attending Kyla’s games and cheering her on from the stands.

In 2018, Kyla helped lead her High School team to a state championship and was named Utah’s Gatorade Player of the Year. She was also named a McDonald’s All-American.
