The Missouri Tigers Baseball Team has seen a lot of success in recent years The team has won back-to-back SEC championships and made it to the College World Series in each of those years.
Now, the Tigers are looking to make some noise in 2022. The team is ranked No. 1 in the country in the preseason polls, and they have the talent to make a run at a National Championship
The Tigers have a deep and experienced lineup, led by All-American outfielder Bryce Mullins. The pitching staff is anchored by ace Ryan Murphy who was named SEC Pitcher of the Year in 2020.

Another player to watch is junior pitcher TJ Forrest. Forrest was named a preseason All-American by perfect game and Collegiate Baseball Newspaper. He is coming off of a season in which he led the team with a 1.98 ERA and was second on the team with 70 strikeouts.
Senior catcher Chad McEvoy will also be one to watch as he looks to build on his strong junior season. McEvoy was named second-team All-SEC last year after hitting .273 with eight home runs and 37 RBIs. He will be looked upon to provide leadership for this young Mizzou team.

On the road, the Tigers will travel to face Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Ole Miss South Carolina Tennessee, and Texas A&M. As always, the SEC tournament will be held at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium in Hoover, Alabama from May 25-29.

Mizzou baseball has been a mainstay in the college ranks since 1902, when the team went 15-2 under Head Coach Paul Dressen. The Tigers have made 27 NCAA Tournament appearances, most recently in 2014. They’ve also appeared in five College World Series with their best showing coming in 1954 when they finished as the runner-up.
