1. Grant Jenkins: A senior third baseman, Jenkins is a key player for the team. He has a great batting average and is a strong fielder.

2. Ryan Sweeney: A sophomore pitcher, Sweeney is a key player on the team. He has a great arm and is one of the team’s best pitchers.

3. Timmy Richards: A junior catcher, Richards is a key player on the team. He is a great hitter and has a great arm.

4. Mark Johnson A senior first baseman, Johnson is a key player on the team. He is a great hitter and fielder.

5. Jake Baker: A junior shortstop, Baker is a key player on the team. He is a great fielder and has a good batting average

The Bradley Baseball Roster is full of talent Here are the hitters that you don’t want to miss.
Cody Green- A senior from Atlanta, GA. Green was a four-year starter for the Braves. He batted .341 with four home runs and 38 RBIs his senior year. He was named first team all-state and honorable mention all-region.

Mitch Longo- A junior from Chicago, IL. Longo hit .333 with two home runs and 30 RBIs his junior year. He was named second team all-conference and third team all-state.

Connor Eppard- A sophomore from St. Louis, MO. Eppard hit .337 with one home run and 27 RBIs his sophomore year. He was named honorable mention all-conference and second team all-state.

There are nine positions in baseball. Of those, seven are for fielders. The other two are the pitcher and the catcher. Each position has a specific job and each player has specific skills that contribute to the team’s success on the field.

The pitcher is the player who throws the ball to the catcher who then tries to catch it in order to get the batter out. The catcher is behind the batter and catches any balls that the batter misses or foul balls The first baseman is next to the pitcher and their job is to catch any balls that arehit too hard for the infielders or too far out of their reach. They also have to stop any wild pitches from going by them. The second baseman is next to first base and has similar responsibilities as the first baseman but they also have to turn double plays. The shortstop is next to second base and their job is also similar but they need to have a strong arm in order to be able to throw runners out at first from deep in the infield. Third base is next to shortstop and their job is mainly defense but they can also help turn double plays. The left fielder’s job is mainly catch anything hit their way but they also need good arm strength in order t throw runners out at second or third from deep in the outfield. Centerfielders cover a lot of ground so they need good speed as well as a good arm so that they can throw runners out at home from deep in centerfield if necessary Centerfielders also back up both of the corner outfielders. Right fielders have similar responsibilities as left fielders but they play on the opposite side of the field.

The manager decides which players will start each game based on who he thinks will give them the best chance of winning that particular game. That decision changes from game-to-game depending on many factors such as who we’re Playing what kind of pitchers they have, what kind of hitters we have, what our recent record against that team has been, etcetera.
