How Chapel Hill Baseball’s Youth Programs Are Structured
Chapel Hill Baseball offers youth programs for children of all ages and abilities. The programs are designed to teach the fundamentals of baseball, while also providing a fun and safe environment for children to play.
The programs are divided into three age groups: T-Ball (ages 4-6), coach pitch (ages 7-8), and minor league (ages 9-10). Each age group has its own set of rules and regulations that are designed to ensure that all children have a positive and enriching experience.
The T-Ball program is designed for children who are just beginning to learn the game of baseball. The focus of this program is on teaching the basic rules of the game and developing fundamental skills such as hitting, throwing, and catching. Games are played on a smaller field with shorter innings, and every child is guaranteed to be a part of the action.
The Coach Pitch program is for children who have a basic understanding of the game but are still developing their skills. In this program, games are played on a regulation size baseball field with regulation innings. Children in this program receive more individualized instruction and are able to further develop their skills in hitting, pitching, and base-running.
The Minor League program is for children who have a strong understanding of the game and are ready to compete at a higher level. This program features competitive games against other teams in the area.
