After the Bannocks’ departure from the Pioneer League Minor League Baseball took a hiatus in Idaho until 1976 when the Boise A’s joined the Northwest League. The A’s were a Class-A Short Season affiliate of the Oakland Athletics and they played at Memorial Stadium. The team only lasted for two seasons before moving to Vancouver, Canada.
