In case youre not familiar with the AIA, its a girls Basketball Tournament that takes place every year in Arizona. The top 16 teams in the state are divided into four different divisions (1A, 2A, 3A, and 4A) and they play each other in a single-elimination tournament until there is only one team left standing in each division.

The AIA basketball playoffs are always a thrilling event to watch, but this year there is an extra bit of excitement because of the new geo-alignments that were put in place for the 2021-2022 season. They have a lot of size and length on their roster, which has been causing problems for opponents all year long. Additionally, they have several players who can shoot well from three-point range. Aia Basketball Playoffs 2022- The bracket

The AIA has released the bracket for the Basketball Playoffs that will take place in March of 2022.

There are a total of 32 teams that have made it to the tournament, with 8 teams in each division. The 1A division is made up of the top 8 teams from around the state, while the 2A-5A divisions are split into 8 geographic alignments.

The first round of the playoffs will take place on March 1st, with the second round being played on March 3rd. The quarterfinals will take place on March 8th, with the semifinals taking place on March 10th. The finals for all divisions will be played on Saturday, March 12th at Gila River Arena

Aia Basketball Playoffs 2022- The schedule

The AIA Basketball Playoffs are set to begin on March 1, 2022. The top 24 teams in each of the four geographical alignments will compete in a single elimination tournament. The game schedule is as follows:

First round games will be played on March 1 and 2 at the higher seeds home court

Quarterfinal games will be played on March 4 and 5 at the higher seeds home court

Semifinal games will be played on March 8 and 9 at Grand Canyon University Arena in Phoenix, Arizona.

The girls Championship game will be played on Saturday, March 12 at Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona. The 1A, 2A, 3A, and 4A finals will be played in that order.

The boys Championship game will be played on Saturday, March 12 at Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona. The 1A, 2A, 3A, and 4A finals will be played in that order.

The AIA has released the alignments for the 2021-2022 Basketball season There are some big changes coming for 1A schools with 4 schools moving up to 2A and 4 schools moving down to 2B. This leaves 1A with only 16 teams for the basketball playoffs. The new 2A will have 24 teams while the 2B will have 22 teams.
