The University of Michigan – Dearborn is a public university located in Dearborn, Michigan. The school’s Hockey Team competes in the American Collegiate Hockey Association As of the 2017-18 Season the team has appeared in five ACHA Division III National Championships winning titles in 2012 and 2015. In addition to their on-ice success, the team has also been recognized for their academic achievements, earnIng the ACHA’s Team Academic Award every year from 2012-2017.

The Team’s History

The University of Michigan – Dearborn’s Hockey team is one of the most successful and storied programs in all of college hockey The team has won 5 national championships and has produced numerous NHL players including current Detroit Red Wings captain Henrik Zetterberg.

The roots of the team date back to the late 1960s, when a group of students at the University of Michigan – Dearborn decided to start playing organized hockey. The team first took the ice in the fall of 1969 and quickly established themselves as a force to be reckoned with.

In the early years, the team played in various local and regional leagues, but it was not until 1975 that they joined a National League the Central Collegiate Hockey Association The jump to the CCHA proved to be a successful one, as the team won their first National Championship in 1977.

Since then, the team has been a perennial powerhouse, winning 5 more national championships and producing numerous NHL players In recent years the team has struggled somewhat, but they continue to be one of the most respected programs in all of college hockey

The Team’s Roster

The University of Michigan – Dearborn men’s hockey team is a NCAA Division III Ice Hockey program that represents the University of Michigan – Dearborn. The team is a member of the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association The team plays its home games at the UM-Dearborn Sports Complex located on the university’s campus in Dearborn, Michigan.

The Team’s Schedule

The University of Michigan – Dearborn hockey team is set to play a total of 30 games this season. Out of those 30 games, 17 will be played at home in the Edsel Ford Memorial Rink, eight will be played on the road, and five will be played at a neutral site. The team’s first game is scheduled for October 5th against Davenport University, and their last game is set for March 2nd against Aquinas College

The University of Michigan – Dearborn’s Hockey Team has seen many successful seasons in recent years The team has had a winning record in conference play for the past four seasons, and has made it to the playoffs in three of those four seasons. In addition, the team has qualified for the ACHA Division 1 National Tournament in each of the past two seasons.

The team’s fans are some of the most dedicated in all of college hockey They travel to away games, support the team through thick and thin, and make Michigan-Dearborn one of the toughest places to play in the country.
