Alamo Heights Baseball: A League of Their Own
Alamo Heights Baseball is a little league with a big history. Founded in the early 1950s, Alamo Heights Baseball is one of the oldest baseball leagues in Texas. The league has produced several Major League Baseball players, including All-Star catcher Ivan Rodriguez and World Series champion second baseman David Eckstein.
Alamo Heights Baseball is open to Boys and Girls ages 4-16. The league offers three divisions: T-Ball (ages 4-6), minor league (ages 7-10), and Major League (11-16). All games are played at the beautiful Alamo Heights Little League fields, located just minutes from downtown San Antonio

The future of Alamo Heights Baseball is looking bright. After winning the Texas 5A state championship in 2016, the team is determined to come back stronger than ever before. Looking to the future, the team has set its sights on even more success.
With a core group of players returning from last year’s championship team, as well as some new additions, the team is poised for another deep run in the playoffs. Head Coach John Morrill believes that with hard work and dedication, his team has what it takes to win it all again.
Only time will tell if Alamo Heights can repeat as State Champions but one thing is for sure – the future of Alamo Heights Baseball is looking very bright.
How to get involved with Alamo Heights Baseball
Alamo Heights baseball offers Fall and Spring leagues for players ages 4-18. The Fall League runs from September-October and the Spring League from March-April.
To sign up, visit the Alamo Heights Baseball website and fill out the registration form. You will be placed on a team based on your age and experience level.
practices are held twice a week with games on Saturdays. Games are typically 2 hours long. Alamo Heights Baseball is a great way to get involved in the community and meet new people!

Alamo Heights Baseball is a special place for me. It was the first team I ever played for, and it holds a lot of great memories.
When I think about what Alamo Heights Baseball means to me, a few things come to mind. First and foremost, it’s a place where I made some great friends. I’ve kept in touch with many of my teammates over the years, and we always have a good time when we get together.
Secondly, Alamo Heights Baseball taught me a lot about the Game of Baseball I learned how to play the game the right way and developed a love for the sport that has stayed with me to this day.
Lastly, Alamo Heights Baseball is just a fun place to be. From the games to the practices to the post-game celebrations, there’s always something going on that makes it an enjoyable experience.
I’m grateful to have been a part of Alamo Heights Baseball, and it’s something that I’ll always cherish.
