It was a tough night for Arkansas relievers, who allowed eight runs (seven earned) in six innings of work. The Razorbacks’ bullpen has been struggling of late, and Friday’s performance was one of the worst of the season.

The 20 hits were also a season high for an SEC team.

The Kansas Baseball team had trouble containing the Ole Miss offense on Friday night, as the Rebels scored 11 runs on 13 hits in an 11-5 win.
Ole Miss got things started early, scoring three runs in the top of the first inning off of Arkansas starter Connor Noland. The Rebels added two more runs in the third inning, and then blew the game open with a six-run fifth inning.

The Razorbacks did make Things Interesting in the bottom of the ninth inning, scoring three runs off of Ole Miss closer Will Stokes, but it wasn’t enough as the Rebels held on for an 11-5 win.

The Arkansas baseball team’s bullpen couldn’t contain the Ole Miss offense in a 8-5 loss on Saturday. The Rebels scored six runs in the final three innings, including four in the ninth, to come from behind and get the win.
The Razorbacks took a 5-2 lead into the bottom of the seventh inning, but the Rebels quickly tied things up with a two-run homer from Tim Elko. Arkansas went to its bullpen in the eighth, and things only got worse from there.
Lane Allen came on and immediately gave up a solo home run to Will Golsan, putting Ole Miss ahead for good. The Rebels would tack on two more runs in the ninth to make it an 8-5 final.
It was a tough loss for Arkansas, which had won five of its last six games coming into Saturday’s contest. The Razorbacks will look to get back on track tomorrow when they take on Ole Miss again.

Ole Miss (30-22, 11-16 SEC) had 16 hits in the game, including four home runs to put up 12 runs against an Arkansas pitching staff that struggled to find any sort of rhythm.
The Razorbacks (34-20, 13-14 SEC) got off to a good start in the game, as they scored two runs in the top of the first inning. But that would be all the offense they would muster for the rest of the game, as Ole Miss pitchers settled in and held Arkansas scoreless over the next eight innings.
In the meantime, the Rebel offense kept putting up runs, with big hits coming from Colby Bortles, Ryan Olenek and Tim Rowe.
Arkansas will now turn its attention to next weekend’s three-game series against Missouri. The Razorbacks will need to win that series if they want to have any chance of making the NCAA tournament

The Razorbacks got off to a good start, as they took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning. However, the lead didn’t last long, as Ole Miss scored four runs in the bottom of the inning.
Arkansas tried to rally in the top of the fifth inning, as they scored three runs to tie the game at 7-7. However, Ole Miss exploded for nine runs in the bottom of the inning to take control of the game.
The Razorbacks got some late run production, as they scored two runs in both the eighth and ninth innings, but it wasn’t enough to mount a comeback as they ultimately fell 16-8.

In the top of the 10th inning, Ole Miss scored two runs off Arkansas reliever Matt Cronin to take an 8-6 lead. The Hogs couldn’t muster any offense in their half of the inning, and they fell to Ole Miss 8-5.
