5-star point guard Sharife Cooper commits to Auburn

Auburn’s fall Signing Period got off to a terrific start Wednesday as 5-star point guard Sharife Cooper announced his commitment to the Tigers.

Cooper, who is rated as the No. 1 point guard and No. 6 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite for the 2021 class, chose Auburn over offers from essentially every school in the country.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound Cooper is a native of Marietta, Georgia, and he attends McEachern High School which is one of the Premier Basketball programs in the country. He’s considered a once-in-a-generation type of talent at his position and should be an immediate impact player for Auburn when he arrives on campus next fall.

In addition to Cooper, Auburn also has commitments from 4-star shooting guard Jaylin Williams and 4-star small forward Chris Moore for its 2021 class. The Tigers now have the No. 2 recruiting class in the nation according to 247Sports.

4-star small forward Jaylin Williams commits to Auburn

Auburn basketball picked up a big commit on Friday as four-star small forward Jaylin Williams committed to the Tigers.

The 6-foot-7 Williams is the No. 67 ranked player in the nation, per the 247Sports Composite, and the No. 12 ranked Small Forward He’s also the No. 3 ranked player in the state of Alabama.

Williams picked Auburn over offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Memphis, Mississippi State Missouri, Oklahoma State South Carolina Tennessee, Texas A&M and UAB among others.

The forward from Dothan (Ala.) Charles Henderson is Auburn’s second commit in the 2020 class joining five-star center N’Faly Dante.

3-star Power Forward Chris Moore commits to Auburn

Auburnufffds Recruiting Class for the fall of 2020 got a boost on Wednesday when 3-star power forward Chris Moore committed to the Tigers.

Moore, who is from Atlanta, is the No. 109 player in the country according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings He had been considering Auburn, Georgia and LSU, but ultimately decided to commit to Bruce Pearlufffds program.

At 6-foot-8 and 220 pounds, Moore is a physical presence in the post who can score down low and rebound at a high level. He is Auburnufffds third commitment in the 2020 class, joining 5-star point guard Sharife Cooper and 4-star shooting guard Jaylin Williams.

Auburn lands commitment from 5-star center N’Faly Dante

Auburn has landed a commitment from 5-star center N’Faly Dante, who is considered one of the top prospects in the class of 2020.

Dante, who is from Mali, chose Auburn over a number of other schools, including Kentucky, Oregon, and UCLA. He is the third 5-star recruit to commit to Auburn’s Basketball Program in the last two years, joining guard Jared Harper and forward Isaiah Todd

Auburn’s recruiting class is now ranked No. 1 in the nation by 247Sports.com, and the Tigers are expected to be a contender for a National Championship next season.

Auburn has its first shooting guard commitment in the 2021 recruiting class

Justin Powell, a 4-star prospect from Douglasville, Georgia, committed to Auburn on Tuesday night. He picked the Tigers over Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Louisville.

Powell is ranked as the No. 65 overall prospect and the No. 12 shooting guard in the 247Sports Composite for the 2021 class. Heufffds also ranked by Rivals as the No. 55 overall prospect and the No. 10 shooting guard in his class.

3-star point guard Tyrell Jones commits to Auburn

3-star point guard Tyrell Jones has committed to Auburn, he announced on Twitter.

Jones, a 6-foot-1, 170-pounder from Lawrenceville, Ga., is the No. 239 player in the 247Sports Composite for the 2020 class. He also held offers from Oklahoma State UAB, Xavier, VCU and a host of mid-major schools.

Auburn adds commitment from 4-star power forward Babatunde Akingbola

4-star power forward Babatunde Akingbola announced his commitment to Auburn on Thursday night becoming the Tigers’ fourth commit in the Class of 2020.

Akingbola, a 6-foot-9, 240-pounder from Montverde (Fla.) Academy, chose Auburn over Florida, LSU and Ohio State He also held offers from Baylor, Kansas, Louisville, Memphis, Notre Dame Oklahoma State and Oregon, among others.

“I would like to thank God first and foremost,” Akingbola said in a Twitter post. “I would like to thank my family, friends, coaches and mentors who have supported me throughout this process. I would also like to thank all of the schools that recruited me throughout this process.”

Auburn now has four commits in its 2020 class: Akingbola, 5-star point guard Sharife Cooper, 4-star center Jaylin Williams and 3-star small forward Chris Moore.

Auburn has secured a commitment from four-star small forward Jabari Smith one of the top prospects in the class of 2020.

The 6-foot-8, 190-pound Smith is from Norcross, Georgia and is ranked as the No. 32 player in the nation by ESPN He chose Auburn over a host of other schools, including Florida, Duke, Georgia, Kentucky and Stanford.

Auburnufffds recruiting class is now ranked No. 6 in the nation by ESPN. The Tigers are also in the mix for a number of other top prospects including five-star point guard Sharife Cooper and five-star power forward Isaac Okoro.

The early signing period begins on November 13th, and Auburn is hoping to land a number of its top recruits before they head off to campus for fall football camp in August.

3-star center Raymond Hawkins commits to Auburn

Raymond Hawkins, a 3-star center from Alabama, committed to Auburn on Saturday afternoon.

The 6-foot-10, 230-pound Hawkins chose Auburn over offers from Alabama, Florida State Mississippi State and a host of other schools. He is the first center in Auburn’s 2020 recruiting class and the third commitment overall.

Hawkins is rated as the No. 16 prospect in Alabama and the No. 35 center nationally by 247Sports Composite. He joins 4-star small forward Jaylin Williams and 3-star shooting guard Josh nickelberry in Auburn’s 2020 recruiting class

“I just felt like it was the best place for me,” Williams told AuburnSports.com. “I liked everything about it. I like the Coaching Staff I like the school and I just felt comfortable there.”

Williams is rated as the No. 161 prospect in the 247Sports Composite rankings for the 2020 class and is the No. 9 player in Alabama. He joins 5-star point guard Sharife Cooper, 4-star Small Forward Benson Bozeman and 4-star power forward JT Thor as members of Auburn’s Recruiting Class
