The Baby Cakes the Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins have a new addition to their team this season. The Baby Cakes mascot, Heat, is bringing the heat to baseball games with his fun and interactive antics.

The New Orleans Baby Cakes Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins have a new Biloxi Shuckers. The Baby Cakes, who had been the Zephyrs since 1993, announced the change in name and logo in late 2016. The team plays its home games at the Shrine on Airline.
The new name is in honor of Louisiana’s state insect, the honey bee. The baby cake is a beignet, which is a fried dough pastry covered in powdered sugar. The mascot for the team is Boudreaux, a 6’6″ alligator who wears a Baby Cakes jersey and Baseball Cap
The team’s colors are green and gold, with navy as an accent color.
