The History of the Buckey Baseball League
The Buckey Baseball League (BBL) is a collegiate summer baseball league. The league was founded in 2009 by a group of college baseball players and coaches who wanted to provide a higher level of competition for collegiate players during the summer months. The league is made up of teams from colleges and universities in Ohio.
The BBL season runs from late May to early August. During the season, each team plays a 30-game schedule. The top 4 teams at the end of the regular season qualify for the playoffs. The playoff format is a best-of-three series, with the winner advancing to the Championship Series
