The Belmont Hill Hockey Team roster for the 2019-2020 season includes 12 defensemen. Of these 12 players, four are seniors, three are juniors, four are sophomores, and one is a freshman.

2019-2020 Season Results

The Belmont Hill Hockey team had a great 2019-2020 season! Under the leadership of Head Coach John Foley, the team finished with a record of 16-3-3, good for second place in the Independent School League In the tournament, Belmont Hill defeated Lawrence Academy and Suffield Academy before falling to eventual champion Kimball Union in the semifinals.

The team was led by captain Will McConnell ’20 and senior forwards Jack Williams ’20 and Tyler Hirsch ’20. Williams was named to the All-ISL first team, while Hirsch and McConnell were honorable mention. Other key contributors included defenseman Aidan Connolly ’21 and forwards Matt Moore ’21, Owen Stewart ’22, and Michael Clouser ’22.

The future is bright for Belmont Hill hockey! With only three seniors graduating, the core of this year’s team will return next season. We can’t wait to see what they will accomplish!

Team Captains

This year’s team captains are Timmy Toole and Will Dolan. As captains, they will be responsible for leading and representing the team both on and off the ice. We are confident that they will do an excellent job in this role and we are looking forward to a successful season

Team History

Belmont Hill first fielded a varsity hockey team in the 1954-1955 season. The team has seen great success over the years, winning multiple league championships. The 2019-2020 season will be the team’s 66th season.

Rivalries

The Belmont Hill School hockey team has a long-standing tradition of excellence on the ice, winning numerous state and New England championships over the years. The team competes in the highly competitive Independent School League (ISL), which includes such powerhouses as Dexter Southfield Milton Academy, Nobles & Greenough, St. Sebastian’s, and Thayer Academy. These schools often field teams with players who have gone on to play Division I college hockey and even in the NHL.

One of the things that makes Belmont Hill’s Hockey Program so successful is the school’s commitment to playing a challenging schedule against some of the best teams in New England. This year is no exception, as the Hillies will face off against several of their biggest rivals during the 2019-2020 season.

Some of the most heated rivalries in high school hockey are between Belmont Hill and Dexter Southfield, Milton Academy, and Nobles & Greenough. These are all schools that are located near each other and who share a similar philosophy when it comes to hockey. All three schools are members of the ISL, and all three have been among the top tournament seeds in recent years

The games between Belmont Hill and these three rivals are always hotly contested and highly competitive. The atmosphere at these games is electric, as fans from both sides pack the stands to cheer on their team. There is no love lost between these rivals, but there is also a great deal of respect for each other’s programs.

The 2019-2020 season promises to be another exciting one for Belmont Hill Hockey as the team looks to continue its tradition of success against some of its biggest rivals.

The Belmont Hill Hockey Team is in the news again this season. The 2019-2020 roster is one of the most talented and skilled teams in recent memory. The team is made up of forwards, defensemen, and goaltenders from all over the country. The majority of the team is from Massachusetts, but there are also players from New Hampshire, Rhode Island Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Missouri, and even Florida.
