The 2017 edition of the tournament ran from March 1–5 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Ohio State was the defending champion, but they were defeated by Maryland in the final game Maryland went on to win the tournament by defeating Iowa in the Championship game This was Maryland’s first Big Ten Tournament title.

The quarterfinal round of the tournament will take place on Friday, March 9th. The first game of the quarterfinals will feature Iowa and Northwestern at 12:00pm EST. The second game of the quarterfinals will feature Maryland and Ohio State at 2:30pm EST.

The third game of the quarterfinals will feature Nebraska and Purdue at 6:00pm EST. The fourth and final game of the quarterfinals will be held between Rutgers and Michigan at 8:30pm EST.

The semifinals of the tournament will take place on Saturday, March 10th at 6:00pm EST and 8:30pm EST. The Championship game of the tournament will be held on Sunday, March 11th at 3:00pm EST on ESPN2.

The Big Ten conference will host the 2021 Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, IN from March 3-7. All eleven conference teams will participate in the tournament. The first and second rounds will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, with the quarterfinals on Friday. The semifinals will be played on Saturday, and the Championship game will be held on Sunday.

Tickets for the tournament are now on sale! You can purchase tickets for all sessions or individual sessions. A session includes all games played during a specific day or time period. All-session tickets provide admission to every game of the tournament.

The first Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament was held in Indianapolis in 1995. The event was won by Penn State which defeated Northwestern in the championship game, 72-64.

Since 1995, a total of 12 different schools have won the tournament title, with Ohio State controlling the most championships with seven (1999, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2016). Maryland has won six times (2005, 2008, 2012-2015), while Iowa has won four times (2001-2004). Penn State has won three times (1995-1997), while Purdue and Michigan State have each won twice (1998, 2000 for Purdue; 2011-2013 for Michigan State). Indiana and Wisconsin have each won once (2014 for Indiana; 2018 for Wisconsin).
