The 2019-2020 Season for the Bishop Ready basketball team was one for the ages. From the opening game against Hartley to their sectional tournament loss to Africentric, this year’s team exhibited teamwork, dedication, and most importantly, fun. Let’s take a look back at some of the best moments from an unforgettable season.
The season so far
The season is wrapping up and the team is preparing for the playoffs. Although they had a slow start, the team has come together and shown great improvement. Below are some must-see highlights from the season so far:
-The game-winning shot against Westerville Central
-The come-from-behind win against Dublin Coffman
-The defense holding Upper Arlington to only 30 points

-Bishop Ready takes down DeSales in a close one, 37-36
-The Lions Roar back against Hartley, winning 55-48
-Bishop Ready dominates Watterson, winning 63-41
-The Lions win a thriller against Linden McKinley, 60-58
Standout players
In a season full of great games and even better athletes, it’s hard to pinpoint just a few standout players. However, there are a few that really seemed to elevate their game this season and warrant some extra attention.
Guards Brian Warren and Tyler Dahl were huge for the team all season, providing steady scoring and excellent defense. Forwards Nate Scott and Ryan Nunn also had breakout seasons, displaying an improved all-around game that helped propel the team to success.
These four players were the Heart and Soul of the team, and their skills will be sorely missed next season. Thanks for a great season, boys!
The future
The Bishop Ready basketball team had an amazing season this year and the future looks bright for the program. Here are some must-see highlights from the season:
-The team’s great chemistry was on display all season long and they truly played like a team.
-They were led by Senior captain Sarah Jones, who was named 1st team All-District.
-The team had a balanced scoring attack, with eight different players scoring in double figures at least once during the season.
-They were a force on defense, as well, holding opponents to an average of just over 40 points per game
What a season it was for the Bishop Ready Basketball team! We can’t wait to see what they do next year!
The fans
The fans are the best part of Bishop Ready. They are always cheering and supportive, no matter what the score is.
The coach
One of the most important people on a Basketball team is the coach. The coach is responsible for teaching the players the importance of teamwork, how to play the game and how to work together to win. Bishop Ready’s basketball team is coached by Anthony Jackson. He has been coaching the team for four years and has led them to two State Championships
The community
Bishop Ready Basketball has some of the best fans in all of Ohio. The community comes out to support the team, and they really show their School Spirit
The tradition
Bishop Ready high school is home to one of the most tradition-rich basketball programs in the state of Ohio. The program has produced numerous Division I & NBA players over the years and has won 3 state championships The current team is led by standout senior guard Jaden Ivey who is ranked as a top-10 player in the state. The team also features 6’8″ center Trey Patterson, who is one of the Top Shot blockers in the state. The team finished the regular season with a record of 23-2 and is currently ranked #2 in the state.

Basketball is a beloved sport by many across the country. For some, it is a passion and they live and breathe the game. For others, it is simply a enjoyable way to pass the time. No matter what your level of interest in basketball may be, there is no denying that it is an exciting sport to watch.
The game of basketball has evolved over the years and has become increasingly faster paced and physically demanding Players are now bigger, stronger, and more athletic than ever before. This makes for some very entertaining highlights from the season.
One team that always seems to produce some great highlights is the Bishop Ready high school basketball team This past season was no different, as the team has put together an impressive highlight reel. Some of the top plays from the season include:
-A no-look behind-the-back pass by Jaden Ivey that leads to an easy layup for his teammate
-A miraculous buzzer-beater three-pointer by Alex Williams to win the game
-A fast break dunk by Will Fleming that brings the crowd to their feet
