Promotions and giveaways

The Bluffton baseball team has several upcoming promotions and giveaways. On May 5th, the team will be giving away t-shirts to the first 1,000 fans. On May 12th, there will be a post-game concert featuring a local band. Fireworks are scheduled for May 26th.

Team news and notes

The team’s next Home game is againstrival Southern Methodist University on February 21. The three-game series will be the first time the two schools have met since 2011, when SMU won 2-1 in 10 innings.

Bluffton is coming off a successful season in which it went 34-21 overall and 15-9 in the Heartland Conference. The team returns a number of Key Players from last year, including all-conference selection Colton Leek.

The team will open its Conference Schedule on March 14 with a three-game series at home against St. Mary’s University.

Jaden Henninger, pitcher
The senior is in his fourth year on varsity and is one of the team’s top pitchers. Henninger has a 3.86 ERA with 36 strikeouts in 28 innings pitched this season. He has signed to play baseball at Division II Catawba College next year.

Tuesday, April 4
vs. Hilton Head High School
Cole Johnson, infielder/pitcher
The junior is in his third year on varsity and is one of the team’s top hitters. Johnson is batting .400 with two home runs and 14 RBIs this season. He also has a 1.93 ERA with 21 strikeouts in 23 innings pitched.

Thursday, April 6
at Battery Creek High School
Nick Renfroe, outfielder/pitcher
The senior is in his fourth year on varsity and is one of the team’s top outfielders. Renfroe is batting .365 with one home run and 12 RBIs this season. He also has a 2.70 ERA with 30 strikeouts in 27 innings pitched.

The Bluffton baseball team has switched gears and is now in Full Swing (pun intended) for their upcoming season Here is a look at some of their recent moves and what the future holds.

Bluffton has made some changes to their roster, signing a few new players and releasing others. The team has also announced their schedule for the remainder of spring training as well as their regular season schedule. Here are some key dates to remember:

-March 3: The team will play their first exhibition game against the Savannah Bananas
-March 7-10: Bluffton will participate in the Coastal Plain League’s annual Spring Training Festival, playing four games against other league opponents.
-March 11: The team’s home opener against the Columbia Fireflies.
-April 4-7: Bluffton will travel to Myrtle Beach to take on the Pelicans in a four-game series.

The Bluffton Baseball team was founded in 1892 and has a long history of success. The team has won the World Series three times, in 1902, 1912, and 1922. They have also won the National League pennant eight times and the American League pennant six times. The team has a rich history of Great players including Hall of Famers Ty Cobb, Babe Ruth and Yogi Berra
