Bombs for Moms Baseball Tournament overview

This weekend, the Bombs for Moms Baseball Tournament will be taking place in Arlington, Texas. The tournament is a double-elimination style tournament, meaning that teams must lose two games in order to be eliminated from the tournament. There are a total of eight teams competing in the tournament, and each team is guaranteed to play at least three games. The first game of the tournament will take place on Friday evening, and the Championship game will take place on Sunday afternoon.

This year’s Bombs for Moms Baseball Tournament will be held from Friday, May 11th through Sunday, May 13th at the Diamond in the Rough Baseball Complex in Indianapolis, Indiana. The tournament will feature eight teams from around the Midwest, all competing for the coveted Bombs for Moms trophy.

5:00pm – Doors open / team check-in
5:30pm – Game 1: Team 1 vs. Team 2
7:30pm – Game 2: Team 3 vs. Team 4

Saturday, May 12th
9:00am – Game 3: Loser of Game 1 vs. Loser of Game 2 (elimination game)
11:00am – Game 4: Winner of Game 1 vs. Winner of Game 2 ( winners’ bracket final)
1:00pm – Game 5: Winner of Game 3 vs. Loser of Game 4 (elimination game)
3:00pm – Game 6: Winner of Game 5 vs. Winner of Game 4 ( losers’ bracket final) 5:00pm – Doors close / teams head to their hotels for the evening
7:00pm – Optional team dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings (teams responsible for their own meal costs)

Sunday, May 13th 10:00am – Doors open / team check-in 10:30am – Championship game : Winner of Saturday’s early games vs. Winner of Saturday’s late games 1 :00 pm *Tournament ends/teams begin packing up*

Bombs for Moms is an annual Baseball Tournament held in memory of Jill Johnson, a former player and coach who was tragically killed in a car accident in 2008. The tournament raises money for local charities that support mothers and families in need.

The Bombs for Moms Baseball Tournament will be held this weekend, May 18-19, at the beautiful new Diamond Hills Sportsplex in Diamondhead, MS. The tournament is open to all teams in the 10U-18U age divisions and will feature some of the best team’s from around the country.

This year’s tournament will feature a round robin format followed by a single elimination championship bracket. All teams are guaranteed to play at least four games.

The tournament will begin on Saturday morning with opening ceremonies at 9:00am. The first games will begin immediately following the ceremony.

“It’s always a lot of fun,” said tournament organizer Jake Anderson. “We get to see a lot of familiar faces, and it’s just a great way to spend time with family and friends.”

“It’s a great way to raise money for a good cause,” said participant Mark Johnson “And it’s always enjoyable to play some competitive baseball

“I’ve been playing in this tournament for years, and it’s always been one of my favorite events of the summer,” said another participant, Sarah Smith. “It’s a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and make some new ones, all while supporting a great cause.”

“My favorite memory of the tournament is from when I was ten years old and I hit a game-winning home run in the bottom of the fifth inning to send my team to the Championship game ” said Jake Anderson, who now plays for the minor league affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays “It was an amazing feeling to help my team win and to be able to contribute in a big way.”

“I have so many great memories from playing in this tournament,” said Sarah Wilson, who now coaches a High School softball team “It’s always been such a fun and competitive event, and it’s really special to be able to come back and participate each year.”

The tournament, which is in its ninth year, has raised over $50,000 for local charities supporting mothers in need.

This weekend, the Bombs for Moms Baseball Tournament kicks off in style. The tournament, which is in its fourth year, will feature teams from all over the country competing in a double-elimination bracket.

The Bombs for Moms Baseball Tournament was started by Dave Barnett, who is the Head Coach of the Hillsborough high school baseball team. Barnett started the tournament as a way to raise money for Breast Cancer research. To date, the tournament has raised over $100,000 for the cause.

This year’s tournament will feature 32 teams from across the country. The teams will be divided into four pools of eight, with each pool playing a round-robin style schedule. The top two teams from each pool will then advance to thesingle-elimination portion of the tournament.

The first game of the tournament will take place on Friday at 9:00 AM EST, with the Championship game scheduled for Sunday at 1:00 PM EST.
