Brookfield Central’s Baseball Team is off to a strong start this season. As of April 7, the team’s record is 3-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play

The team’s recent successes can be attributed to a number of factors, including the outstanding pitching of senior ace Jayce Vavra and the timely hitting of junior cleanup hitter Cole Benefield.

Vavra, who has verbally committed to play baseball at the University of Minnesota has been particularly impressive this season. In four starts, he has compiled a 3-1 record with a 0.75 ERA and 30 strikeouts in 24 innings pitched

Benefield, meanwhile, is batting .333 (7-for-21) with two home runs and nine RBIs in four games.

The team’s other key contributors have been senior second baseman Zach Hanson (.273 avg., 5 RBIs), junior shortstop Ian Christensen (.250 avg., 4 RBIs), and senior center fielder Michael Price (.235 avg., 4 RBIs).

With nine seniors on the roster, the Central baseball team is one of the most experienced squads in the conference. The team will look to continue its strong play in the coming weeks as it looks to make a run at a conference championship

-Although they’ve had some tough losses, the team has fought hard and made great strides since the beginning of the season.
-Some Key Players on the team include senior captain John Doe junior ace pitcher Jane Roe, and sophomore slugger Joe Smith
-The team’s next game is against rival school Brookfield East on May 2nd.

Brookfield Central Baseball Game Schedule

The Brookfield Central baseball team has released their game schedule for the upcoming season The team will be playing a total of 32 games, with 16 games at home and 16 away.

The season will start on April 6th with an away game against Waukesha West, and will end on May 25th with a Home game against Sussex Hamilton.

Some key games to look out for include:
-April 13th: Home against Arrowhead
-May 4th: Away against Catholic Memorial
-May 11th: Home against Marquette

Brookfield Central’s Varsity Baseball team has had an incredible season so far! As of May 21st, their league record is 10-2 and they are currently ranked 4th in the state.

– In a double header against Waukesha West on April 27th, they won the first game 9-3 and the second game 15-5
– On May 11th, they had an exciting 3-2 victory over Arrowhead

Brookfield Central Baseball: Playoffs

The fresh smell of cut grass, the sound of the ball hitting the leather of the glove and the thump of cleats running on dirt; baseball season is in full swing. The Brookfield Central Lancers are excited to be entering the post-season with a conference record of 12-2 and an overall record of 18-5.

The Lancers will be playing in the WIAA Division 1 State Tournament at Kapco Park on the campus of Concordia University Wisconsin. The team enters the tournament as a #4 seed and will face #13 seed Eau Claire North in the first round on Thursday, June 13 at 5:00 p.m. A victory would put Central up against either #5 seed Arrowhead or #12 seed Kenosha Bradford on Friday at either 5:00 or 7:30 p.m.
