The BYU Men’s Basketball Schedule for the 2021-22 season has not yet been released.

Non-conference opponents

The Brigham Young University (BYU) men’s basketball team released its schedule for the 2021-22 season on Wednesday, highlighted by games against Gonzaga, Illinois, and UCLA.

The non-conference portion of the schedule features games against Gonzaga (Dec. 2), Illinois (Dec. 5), UCLA (Dec. 8), Boise State (Dec. 12), Pepperdine (Dec. 19), Nicholls State (Dec. 22), and Nevada (Dec. 29).

BYU will also participate in the Maui Invitational from Nov. 22-24, where they will face North Carolina State in the first round. The field also includes Arizona, Auburn, Connecticut, Iowa State Saint Mary’s, and host Chaminade.

Conference opponents

The BYU Men’s Basketball team will play conference opponents during the 2021-22 season. These opponents include:
-Weber State
-Southern Utah
-Idaho State
-Montana State
-North Dakota
-Portland State
-Sacramento State

Key returners

The BYU Men’s basketball schedule for the 2021-22 season has not yet been released, but we do know who some of the key returners will be for the team.

Senior guard TJ Haws will be back for his final season of eligibility and will be looking to build on his already impressive collegiate career. He is the All-time leading scorer in BYU history and is currently second in assists. He will be joined by senior forward Yoeli Childs, who is also entering his final season of eligibility. Childs is a two-time West Coast Conference Player of the Year and was an All-American honorable mention last season.

Sophomore guard Richard Harward will also be returning after a breakout freshman campaign in which he started 26 games and averaged 9.1 points per game He will look to build on that success as he takes on an even bigger role in the upcoming season

Key departures

The BYU men’s basketball team will see some key departures from their 2020-21 squad. Senior forward Yoeli Childs, who averaged 22.2 points and 9.7 rebounds per game will graduation. Additionally, junior guard Richard Harward has announced he will be transferring to another school. These two departures will leave big holes in the BYU lineup next season.

The BYU Men’s Basketball team has announced their schedule for the 2021-2022 season. There are several new opponents on the schedule, as well as some familiar faces. Below is a list of all the games, with the newcomers in bold.

In addition to the new opponents, the BYU Men’s basketball team will also be playing in a new conference this season. The West Coast Conference has welcomed BYU with open arms and is excited to have them as a part of the conference. below is a list of all the games against WCC opponents.

Predicted finish

The 2021-22 BYU men’s Basketball season will be the Cougars’ 106th season of competition, 92nd as a member of the West Coast Conference and first as a member of the Mountain West Conference. The team will be coached by Mark Pope in his second year at BYU.

The Cougars are predicted to finish second in the conference behind Gonzaga.

TV schedule

The following is the BYU men’s Basketball Schedule for the 2021-22 season. The Cougars will play a total of 30 games, 15 at home and 15 on the road. All times areEastern time (ET) and subject to change.

The schedule opens with a road game against St. Louis on November 5, followed by the home opener against Weber State on November 10. BYU will face Gonzaga in Spokane on December 2 in a rematch of last year’s West Coast conference tournament Championship game which the Bulldogs won 92-69.

BYU will play a total of 18 conference games, nine at home and nine on the road. The Cougars’ Conference Schedule includes home-and-home series against Pepperdine, Portland, San Diego San Francisco Santa Clara and Pacific.

BYU will host Gonzaga on February 4 in a game that will be televised nationally on ESPN2.

NCAA tournament chances

The Brigham Young University men’s basketball team is looking to build on their 2020-21 season in which they made it to the second round of the NCAA tournament The 2021-22 schedule has not been released yet, but it is rumored that the team will have a tough non-conference schedule that could prepare them for another deep run in the tournament.
