The Canyon Vista Middle Girls Basketball 8th Grade team had a successful season culminating in a championship victory. This was the team’s first ever championship, and they were able to achieve it by working hard and playing together as a team.

The season started off strong, with the team winning their first three games. However, they then lost four straight games. This losing streak was difficult for the team, but they were able to Bounce Back and win their next three games. This put them at 6-4 heading into the final week of the season.

The final week of the season was crucial for the team, as they had two must-win games. The first game was against their biggest rival, and the second game was against the second-place team in the standings. The team went into both games with a lot of energy and focus, and they were able to come out with two victories. This clinched them the Championship Title and they celebrated their success together.

It was a great season for the Canyon Vista Middle girls basketball 8th Grade team, and they are already looking forward to next year!

Canyon Vista Middle School’s 8th grade girls basketball team had an amazing season. They worked hard and improved every game. The team had a great group of girls that bonded well and played well together. They developed a strong defense that led to many turnovers and easy points on offense. The team finished the regular season with a record of 12-2 and were the top seed in the City Tournament

In the first round of the tournament, they faced their arch rivals, Westwood middle school Canyon Vista won easily, 48-30. The second round matched them up against another tough team, Highland Park middle school Again, they prevailed with a hard fought 32-28 victory.

The city Championship game was against Westwood again. It was a close game but Canyon Vista pulled away in the end to win 38-33. It was an exciting end to a great season!

This season, the Canyon Vista Middle Girls Basketball team made history. They were the first team in school history to make it to the semi-finals of the city tournament. Their hard work and dedication paid off, and they are now known as one of the best teams in the city.

The team was led by their captain, Mia Jones. Mia is an 8th grader who has been playing basketball for six years. She is a true leader on and off the court. Mia was always motivating her teammates to do their best and cheering them on, even when they were down.

The team’s success would not have been possible without each and every player doing their part. Every player contributed to the team’s success in some way, whether it was scoring points, rebounding, or Playing Defense Everyone on the team played a vital role in their success.

Canyon Vista Middle School’s 8th grade girls Basketball team had an incredible season, going undefeated and winning the League Championship The team was coached by two amazing women who led the way and instilled a love of the game in each and every player.

Coach Lacey Denton was the Head Coach of the team. She has been coaching basketball for over 10 years, and her experience shone through in the way she ran practices and managed game days. Her calm demeanor and motivational speeches helped the team to stay focused and Believe in themselves, even when the going got tough.

Coach Olivia Lawson was the Assistant Coach She brought a wealth of knowledge to the team, having played basketball herself in High School and college. Her passion for the game was evident in the way she coached, and she was always there to offer a word of encouragement or advice to her players.

Together, these two women created a positive and supportive environment that allowed each Player to Reach their full potential on the court. Thank you, Coach Denton and Coach Lawson, for everything!

Canyon Vista Middle School’s 8th grade girls basketball team didn’t have the best record. In fact, they only won one game all season. But, for the members of that team, and their coach, it didn’t matter. They loved being together and playing the game they all loved.

Even though they didn’t win many games, they had a lot of fun. And, they made memories that they will never forget. They laughed together, cried together, and supported each other through good times and bad.

Now that their time at Canyon Vista has come to an end, they will never forget the friendships they made and the lessons they learned. They are better people because of their experience on the team and they will always be grateful for that.
