The Central Valley Baseball Connection is a non-profit organization that was established in 2013. The organization is dedicated to promoting the game of baseball in the Central Valley region of California.

The Central Valley Baseball Connection was founded by Travis Frieden, who is also the current president of the organization. Frieden is a native of the Central Valley and has been involved in baseball his entire life. He played baseball at Fresno City College and later went on to play professional baseball in Europe.

Frieden’s goal for the organization is to provide opportunities for young players in the Central Valley to develop their skills and play at a high level. The organization accomplishes this by providing financial assistance to players and families, organizing clinics and camps, and hosting events such as the annual Central Valley baseball conference

To date, the Central Valley Baseball Connection has helped over 500 players and families with financial assistance, organized numerous clinics and camps, and hosted several successful events. The future looks bright for the organization as they continue to grow and make a positive impact on the lives of those involved with baseball in the Central Valley.

The Central Valley of California has been a hotbed for Baseball Talent for over a century. The area has produced Major League Baseball (MLB) stars such as Joe DiMaggio Mark McGuire Jason Giambi andCC Sabathia. But the Central Valley is not just a breeding ground for future MLB superstars; it has also been the home of many Negro League greats, such asDoc powell, Smokey Joe Williams and Frank Grant. These three men all had spectacular careers in the Negro Leagues and are now considered to be some of the greatest players in baseball history

UC Santa Barbara has sent players like Matt Kemp and Josh Bell to the big leagues while UC Berkley has produced All-Stars like Jeff Kent and Salvador Perez.

Chukchansi Park: Home of the Fresno Grizzlies, Chukchansi Park is one of the newest ballparks in the minors. It opened in 2002 and features a view of downtown Fresno from its location near Highway 41. The park has a capacity of 12,500 and features a variety of concessions and activities for fans to enjoy during games.

Raley Field: Home of the Sacramento River Cats, Raley Field is located on Sacramento’s waterfront on Railroad Avenue. The park opened in 2000 and has a capacity of 14,000 fans. It’s widely considered one of the best Minor League parks in baseball thanks to its stunning views of downtown Sacramento and the riverfront beyond.

Norman Yost Field: Home of Stanislaus State Warriors baseball team Norman Yost Field is located on campus in Turlock. The park opened in 2003 and has a capacity of 1,500 fans. Thanks to its close proximity to other schools in Turlock, such as CSU Stanislaus and Modesto junior college Norman Yost Field often hosts High School and college Playoff Games throughout the spring season.

The Central Valley Baseball Connection operates two baseball academies in the Central Valley, one in Bakersfield and one in Visalia. The academies offer year-round training for young players ages 8-18. The Training Programs are designed to prepare players for high school and college baseball and ultimately for a career in Professional Baseball The staff at the academies includes former Major League players, minor league players, and college coaches

In addition to the academies, the Central Valley Baseball Connection also operates a summer camp program called “Central Valley Summer Camps.” These camps are open to all players ages 8-18, and they are held at various locations throughout the Central Valley region.

The Central Valley Baseball Connection is also involved in a number of other initiatives aimed at promoting baseball in the region. These initiatives include a scholarship program for high school seniors who plan to play baseball in college, a mentoring program for young players and a speakers bureau that provides free presentations about the game of baseball to schools and community organizations.

The Central Valley Baseball Connection is a new project that aims to bring baseball to the Central Valley region of California. The project is the brainchild of former MLB player Curt Schilling and his wife, Shonda, who have been working towards this goal for years.

The project has already raised over $2 million dollars and has broken ground on a Baseball Complex in Fresno, CA. The complex will eventually house 8 fields, a 28,000 square foot clubhouse, and a training facility.

The long-term goal of the Central Valley Baseball Connection is to develop homegrown talent in the region and to provide an opportunity for young players to pursue their dreams of playing professional baseball The project is already off to a great start, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for baseball in the Central Valley!
