Coker field hockey has a long tradition of excellence, and we continue to strive for the best on and off the field. Our goal is to provide a positive and supportive environment for our student-athletes, and to help them develop their skills to the fullest potential.
Introduction
The Coker College Field Hockey Team has a long-standing tradition of excellence, dating back to its founding in the early 1970s. The team has won numerous conference and National Championships and produced many All-American players Today, the Coker field hockey team is a perennial powerhouse, ranked among the top teams in the country year after year. If you’re looking for a college Field hockey team to root for, you can’t go wrong with the Cokers!
The History of Coker Field Hockey
Coker Field Hockey has a rich tradition of excellence and is one of the most successful programs in NCAA Division II history. The program has won 10 NCAA Division II National Championships, the most of any program in any division, and has made 31 appearances in the NCAA Division II National Championship game, also the most of any program in any division.
The success of the Coker Field Hockey program can be traced back to its humble beginnings in the early 1960s. Thefield hockeyprogram at Coker College was founded in 1963 by then Head Coach Marge Gibson. Coach Gibson, who is a member of both the Coker College Athletic Hall of Fame and the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame led the Cobras to nine NCAA Division II National Championships and 21 appearances in the NCAA Division II National Championship game during her tenure.
Under Coach Gibson’s leadership, Coker Field hockey became one of the most dominant programs in all of college athletics. The Cobras won at least 20 games in a season 27 times, including a stretch of 20 consecutive seasons from 1982 to 2001. In addition, Coker won 30 or more games six times, with a program-record 37 wins in 1998.
The Tradition of Excellence at Coker Field Hockey
Coker Field Hockey has been a tradition of excellence since its inception in 2001. The program has produced numerous All-Americans, Conference Players of the Year, and National Champions Under the guidance of head coach Lindsay Reeves, the Cobras have compiled an impressive record of 239-41 (.854) and have been ranked in the top ten nationally in each of the last eleven seasons.
Coker is coming off one of its most successful seasons in program history, finishing with a record of 18-4 (.818), en route to winning both the South Atlantic Conference regular season and tournament championships. The Cobras earned their first ever berth in the NCAA Division II Field Hockey Championship where they advanced to the Elite Eight.
The Coker Field Hockey Program
Coker College’s field hockey program has a long tradition of success, dating back to its founding in 1978. The Cobras have won eight conference championships and made eight NCAA Division II tournament appearances. Coker is also one of only two programs in South Carolina to ever win an NCAA Division II field hockey game
Coker field hockey is a close-knit team that is dedicated to success both on and off the field. The team’s slogan, “One Team, One Goal”, encapsulates their dedication to working together towards a common goal. This year’s team is determined to build on the program’s tradition of excellence and bring home Coker’s first ever National Championship

The Coker field hockey Roster
Coker College is pleased to announce the Field Hockey roster for the 2019 season. This year’s team is made up of young women who are eager to continue the tradition of excellence that has become synonymous with Coker Field Hockey The team will be led by fifth-year Head Coach Ashley Smeltzer-Kraft and her assistant coaches Lindsey Hanks and Tara Strazdins.

Recently, the Coker Field Hockey team has been in the news for their outstanding performance in the sport. The team has a long tradition of excellence, and they are known for their dedication to the sport. The team is made up of a group of young women who have a passion for the game. They have worked hard to develop their skills and they are committed to winning.
The Coker Field Hockey Season
Coker Field Hockey has a long tradition of excellence, stretching back to its inception in the early 1900s. The Coker field hockey program has been one of the most successful collegiate programs in the nation, winning 29 conference championships and 10 national championships. The Cokers have also been ranked in the top 10 nationally in 37 out of the last 38 years, including a streak of 18 consecutive years from 1995-2013.

The Coker Field Hockey Championships are synonymous with excellence. The Coker Cobras have won an impressive 10 championships since the tournament’s inception in 2001, and they show no signs of slowing down.
Under the guidance of Head coach Ashley Mumford, the Coker Cobras have built a dynasty that is the envy of every other team in the tournament. The Cobras are characterized by their high-powered offense, which has averaged over 4 goals per game in nt play They also boast a stingy defense, which has given up more than 2 goals per game only once in tournament history.
With a tradition of excellence like the Coker Cobras have, it is no wonder that they are one of the most feared teams in the field hockey Championship Tournament.
