The Colorado Buffaloes are a Division I college baseball team that competes in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The team is a member of the Pac-12 Conference, which is one of the top college baseball conferences in the country. The Buffaloes play their home games at Coors Field, located in Boulder, Colorado.

The team has seen a lot of success in recent years winning the Pac-12 conference championship in 2016 and 2017. The Buffaloes have also made it to the NCAA tournament nine times in school history, with their most recent appearance coming in 2018.

The 2019 Colorado Buffaloes baseball team is looking to build off of their recent success and make a run at the Pac-12 title once again. With a talented group of players and a great Coaching Staff the Buffaloes are definitely a team to watch out for this season.

Colorado Buffaloes Baseball: The History

The Colorado Buffaloes baseball team is a Division I college Baseball Team that competes in the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s (NCAA) Pac-12 Conference. The team is a member of the conference’s North Division. The Buffaloes play their home games at Coors Field, located on the campus of the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado. The Buffaloes are coached by Darin Everson.

Colorado has appeared in eleven NCAA Tournaments and has won two conference championships (1992, 2002). The Buffaloes have had thirteen Major League Baseball (MLB) Draft selections, including four in the first round.

The Colorado Buffaloes baseball program was established in 1890. The team played its first game against Denver High School on April 10, 1890, and defeated them by a score of 40–13. The first college game was played against Denver University on April 28, 1890, and resulted in a 24-2 victory for the Buffaloes.

The Colorado Buffaloes and the Nebraska Cornhuskers have a long-standing college baseball rivalry. The two teams first met in 1898, and the rivalry has been renewed almost every year since then. The teams have played each other more than 200 times, making it one of the oldest and most storied rivalries in college baseball

Over the years, the two teams have had their share of highs and lows. The Buffaloes dominated the early years of the rivalry, winning 14 of the first 15 games. But in recent years it has been the Cornhuskers who have had the upper hand, winning 13 of the last 14 games.

The stakes are high whenever these two teams meet up on the diamond. But for both teams, there is one goal that trumps all others: to beat their oldest and most bitter rival.

Colorado Buffaloes Baseball: The Tradition

Colorado Baseball is back and better than ever! The tradition of the Colorado Buffaloes began in 1890 when a group of young men decided to form a Baseball team The team played their first game against the Denver Athletic Club. The game ended in a tie, but the young men were hooked on baseball.

The Colorado Buffaloes became a charter member of the Rocky Mountain baseball league in 1908. The league was short-lived, but the Buffaloes continued to compete against other local teams. In 1912, the Buffaloes joined the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and began playing college teams from all over the West.

The Colorado Buffaloes won their first Conference Championship in 1917 and went on to win nine more titles over the next 25 years. In 1953, the Buffaloes made their first appearance in the College World Series The team made it back to Omaha in 1955 and 1956, but unfortunately did not win a championship.

Since those early days, the Colorado Buffaloes have been one of the top college baseball programs in the nation. The team has won five conference championships and made seven trips to Omaha for the College World Series In 2001, the Buffaloes won their first and only national championship!
