Introduction

Since their move to Division I in 1998, the Dallas Baptist Patriots have slowly but surely been making a name for themselves on the college baseball scene.

The History

The Dallas Baptist University Patriots baseball team has come a long way since it began in 1998 as a Division II program. The team has made five trips to the NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament including back-to-back appearances in 2014 and 2015. In 2015, the Patriots made it all the way to the Super Regional round of the tournament, where they eventually lost to the University of Virginia

Despite not having much success in the early years, Dallas Baptist has slowly built itself into one of the best baseball programs in the country. Thanks to Head Coach Dan Heefner, who took over in 2006, the Patriots have become a force to be reckoned with. Under Heefner’s guidance, Dallas Baptist has won 40 or more games in eight of the last nine seasons.
