Dana Hills Baseball is a premier baseball program in Southern California The team is made up of student-athletes from Dana Hills High School in Dana Point, CA. The team competes in the highly competitive South Coast Conference (SCC) and is consistently ranked among the top teams in the state.

The Dana Hills Baseball Program has a long history of success, dating back to its founding in 1966. The team has won numerous league and conference championships and has been crowned State Champions on three occasions (1979, 1992, 2012). In addition to its on-field success, the Dana Hills baseball program is also known for its commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes. The Dana Hills baseball program has some of the best facilities in all of Southern California The facility includes four lighted baseball fields a full-size gymnasium, locker rooms and showers. The campus is well-maintained and provides an outstanding environment for the student-athletes.

The players – hard-working and committed to the team

The Dana Hills High baseball team is made up of 27 varsity players, all of whom are committed to the Dana Hills baseball program The team is coached by Mike Gillespie, who has been with the program since its inception in 2009. The Dana Hills Baseball Program is a premier Baseball Program that gives its athletes the opportunity to compete at the highest levels of high school baseball The team has a rich tradition of success, winning the Cif Southern Section Division I championship in 2010, 2012, and 2016.

The schedule – tough, but manageable

The Dana Hills Baseball Team has one of the toughest schedules in the nation. They play teams from all over the country, and their opponents are usually very good. But the team is able to play a lot of games, and they usually win a majority of them. This makes them one of the top programs in the country.

The parents – supportive and involved

The Dana Hills Baseball community is one where the parents are supportive and involved. They are always willing to help with carpooling, fundraising, and other events. The future – bright for Dana Hills Baseball

Dana Hills Baseball is no stranger to success. The program has won 10 league titles, six CIF championships and produced four Major League Baseball players – Garrett Anderson, Troy Tulowitzki, Krismelll Stokes and most recently Sean Manaea.

The future looks bright for the program as well. The team is currently ranked No. 1 in the country by MaxPreps and features two five-Star Prospects in shortstop Connor Seabold and outfielder Kristian Robinson.

“We feel we have a chance to be really special this year,” said Dana Hills coach Matt Maakestad. “Our goal is always to win a CIF championship and we feel we have the talent to do that this year.”

The team’s success is due in large part to its pitching staff, which is led by Seabold, a Cal commit, and Robinson, an Arizona State commit. The staff also includes UCLA commit Kyle Molnar, USC commit JC Cloney and San Diego State commit Blake Walston.
