The Delaware Basketball Schedule is Here!

The 2017-2018 Delaware Men’s Basketball Schedule has been released, and the team is looking to build on last year’s success. The Blue Hens will open the season on November 10th at home against Drexel.

The non-conference portion of the schedule includes games against some tough competition, including last year’s NCAA tournament teams in Notre Dame Rhode Island and Virginia. The Blue Hens will also travel to Newark, DE to take on the University Of Delaware in the annual Battle of the Blue rivalry game.

conference play will begin on December 28th when Delaware travels to William & Mary. The Blue Hens will look to defend their CAA regular season championship from a year ago, and they will face a challenging Conference Schedule that features games against Hofstra, Northeastern, James Madison and Charleston.

The Blue Hens in the NCAA Tournament

The Delaware Blue Hens men’s basketball team will be looking to make some noise in the NCAA tournament this year. The Hens received an at-large bid to the tournament and will be a #12 seed in the East region. They will take on #5 seed Pittsburgh in the first round on Thursday, March 15th.

This is Delaware’s first appearance in the NCAA tournament since 1999 and just the third time in school history. The Hens will be looking to pull off a big upset and advance to the second round for the first time ever.
