Dover High School Baseball Team is a Hit!

Introduction

The Dover High School baseball team is a hit! The team is currently undefeated and ranked first in the state. Head Coach Joe Smith has been coaching the team for the past three years and has led the team to two State Championships The team is made up of twelve players, all of whom are seniors. The starting lineup includes:

Catcher- Jake Brown
First baseman- Matt Swanson
Second baseman- Ryan Johnson
Third baseman- Derek Lively
Shortstop- Andy Nguyen
Left fielder Kyle Robinson
Center fielder- Jesse Barker
Right fielder- Steve Anderson
Pitcher- Kevin Miller

The team’s success can be attributed to its strong pitching and defense. The starting pitchers, Kevin Miller and Matt Swanson, have only allowed a total of six runs all season. The team’s defense has been stellar, as well, only committing twelve errors in eighteen games. With strong pitching and defense, the Dover high school Baseball Team is poised to make a run at another state championship

The Dover high school baseball team is a hit! The team is currently undefeated and ranked first in the state. The team is made up of 11 seniors, 9 juniors, and 5 sophomores. The team’s leading hitters are seniors Zachary Blume and Ryan Jones. Blume is batting .500 with 3 home runs and 13 RBIs. Jones is batting .450 with 2 home runs and 10 RBIs. The team’s leading pitcher is junior ace Matt Murphy. Murphy has a record of 5-0 with an ERA of 1.50. The Dover High School baseball team is a force to be reckoned with and will be a force to be reckoned with for years to come!

The season is finally here and the Dover high school baseball team is looking to make a big splash. After a dominant regular season the team enters the playoffs as the top seed in their conference. With a talented roster of players, the future looks bright for Dover baseball.

In the first round of the playoffs, Dover faced off against their crosstown rivals, the second-seeded team in their conference. The game was a tightly contested battle, but Dover ultimately came out on top with a 4-2 victory. This win advanced them to the next round where they will face off against another tough opponent.
