The History of Eden Prairie Hockey

Eden Prairie Hockey is one of the most respected hockey programs in the country. The program has a rich history, dating back to the early days of organized Ice Hockey in the United States

The program was founded in 1971 by a group of Eden Prairie residents who wanted to provide a place for their children to play organized Ice hockey The founders were all former High School and college players who were passionate about the game.

Since its inception, Eden Prairie Hockey has been dedicated to developing young player’s skills and promoting sportsmanship. The program has produced many NHL players including Neal Broten, Craig Johnson, and Jordin Tootoo.

The Eden Prairie Hockey Club

Eden Prairie Hockey Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, providing hockey programs for children and young adults ages 4-21 in the southwest Minneapolis metropolitan area We are committed to promoting the sport of hockey, teaching life skills, and fostering a love for the game in our participants.

The Eden Prairie Hockey Club is a member of Minnesota youth hockey League (MYHL), USA Hockey and Keystone ice rink. We offer our members a wide variety of programs, including:

-Learn to Play Hockey For children ages 4-8 who are new to the sport or still working on basic skating skills.
-House League: For children ages 9-14 who want to play in a recreational league with friends.
-Travel Team: For children ages 8-18 who want to compete at a higher level.
