There are currently 30 teams in the NBA, with 29 located in the United States and 1 located in Canada. Of these 30 teams, 23 are located in metropolitan areas with a population of 1 million or more.

Los Angeles

Los Angeles is the most populous city in the state of California and the second most populous city in the United States with a population of over four million people It is also the home of two NBA teams the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers

Chicago

The NBA currently has 30 teams, with 29 located in metropolitan areas in the United States and one in Canada. Of those 30 teams, eight are located in the Chicago metropolitan area. That’s more than any other metropolitan area in the country!

New York City
