The Team: Farragut Basketball
Farragut basketball is a team on the rise. They have a strong group of young players that are motivated to win. The team plays an uptempo style of basketball that is exciting to watch. They are led by their star player senior guard Tyler Lawson. Tyler is one of the best scoring guards in the state of Tennessee. He can shoot the three, get to the rim, and finish with contact. The team also has a very good big man in junior center Luke Williams. Luke is very athletic and is able to block shots and run the floor well. He is also a good rebounder. The team’s other two starters are junior guard John Blake and senior forward Alex García. John is a very good shooter and Alex is a tough defender and rebounder. The team’s bench consists of sophomore guard David Butler, freshman forward William Wright, and sophomore forward/center Michael Carter. The team’s Head Coach is Matt Mahoney, who is in his third year at Farragut. Coach Mahoney has done a great job turning the program around and has the team headed in the right direction.

Jason Terry is in his 5th season as the head coach of the Farragut basketball team He has led the team to 3 State Championships and 1 National Championship In his time at Farragut, he has compiled a record of 154-11.
Terry played his collegiate basketball at the University of North Carolina where he was a two-time All-American and won a National Championship in 1993. He then went on to have a successful 19-year career in the NBA, winning 2 championships with the Dallas Mavericks
He has been married for 18 years and has 4 children.
