Home Games vs. Away Games
The long-awaited Ferris Hockey Schedule is finally here! One of the most highly-anticipated aspects of the schedule is whether games will be home or away. Here’s a quick guide to help you understand the difference:
Home Games:
home games are, as the name suggests, played at Ferris’ home rink. Fans can expect a Full House of black and gold clad supporters, and the chance to snag some free tickets if they arrive early enough. There is a certain sense of pride that comes with playing in front of a home crowd and the team always seems to pull out some of their best hockey when they’re in familiar territory.
Away Games:
Away games are played… away from home. This generally means that the team will be traveling to another school’s rink, which can sometimes be a daunting task. However, it also provides an opportunity for fans to road trip with their buddies and take in some new scenery. Cheering on the team in enemy territory can be a fun bonding experience, and it’s always satisfying to see them come out on top in somebody else’s house.
Conference Games
The conference games are finally here and we could not be more excited! The first game is against the University of Michigan and it is set for Saturday, October 12th at 7:00 pm. The second game is against Michigan State University and it is set for Sunday, October 13th at 4:00 pm. We hope to see all of our fans there cheering us on!
Pre-Season Games
The wait is finally over! The Ferris Hockey Schedule for the 2019-2020 Season has been released, and we could not be more excited.
The Bulldogs will start their pre-season on September 27th with an away game against the Michigan Tech Huskies. They will then have a home exhibition game on October 4th against the University of Toronto.
The regular season officially kicks off on October 11th when the Bulldogs take on the Bowling Green Falcons at home. Other notable games include the annual Thanksgiving Showdown against Michigan State on November 29th and the Great Lakes Invitational tournament at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit from December 27-28.
Make sure to mark your calendars and get your tickets early – this is sure to be a season you do not want to miss!

The National Tournament
The 2017 National Tournament will take place from April 6-8 in Boston, Massachusetts. This year, the tournament will be hosted by Northeastern University and will feature 16 of the best college hockey teams in the country. The first round of games will begin on Thursday, April 6, with the Championship game being played on Saturday, April 8.
Other Important Games
There are a few other games that are important, even though they’re not part of the tournament.
The game against Petersville is important because it’s a chance to redeem ourselves after last year’s loss.
The game against Elmwood Park is also important. It’s our biggest rival, and we always want to beat them.
