The Fitch baseball coaching Staff

The Fitch Baseball coaching staff is comprised of Head Coach Tom Harper, Pitching Coach Mike McCarthy, and Hitting Coach Kyle drone. Each coach brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team. Coach Harper has been with the team for 15 years, and has led the team to 3 conference championships and 2 State Championships Coach McCarthy has been with the team for 10 years, and is a former professional pitcher. Coach Drone has been with the team for 5 years, and is a former professional hitter.

Fitch baseball is a state of the art baseball facility that features six batting cages, a pro shop, and a concessions stand. The facility also has a heated indoor hitting area, which is perfect for those cold winter days.

The Fitch Baseball History

Fitch Baseball has been a historic baseball destination since the early 1900s. The beautiful ballpark, located in downtown Fitch, has been home to many minor league and semi-professional teams over the years. The current team, the Fitch Coffees, has been playing in the ballpark since 2015.

The Fitch baseball history is rich and storied. The ballpark was originally built in 1903 and was home to the Fitch Black Sox, a Minor League affiliate of the Chicago White Sox The team played in the ballpark until 1911 when they were moved to a larger stadium in nearby Springfield.

In 1915, the ballpark was home to the Fitchburg Pilgrims, a semi-professional team that played in the Eastern League The Pilgrims were one of the most successful teams in the league, winning consecutive championships in 1917 and 1918. The team disbanded after the 1918 season due to financial difficulties.

The ballpark remained unused until 2015 when it was renovated and reopened as the home of the Fitch Coffees. The Coffees are a semi-professional team that plays in the New England Collegiate baseball league (NECBL). The team has been very successful since moving into their new home, winning back-to-back championships in 2016 and 2017.
