Franklin Pierce Baseball Roster
Franklin Pierce baseball has announced their roster for the upcoming season The team is made up of 12 pitchers, two catchers, six infielders, and four outfielders.

New Additions to the Roster
This season, the Franklin Pierce Baseball Team is welcoming a number of new additions to the roster. Here’s a closer look at some of the players who will be donning the Raven uniform this year:
Infielders:
-AJ Bladt: A junior transfer from Maryland, Bladt is a versatile player who can handle any position in the infield. He’s known for his solid glove work and solid bat, and he’ll be looking to make an impact in his first year with the Ravens.
-Tomas Gomez: A native of Puerto Rico Gomez comes to Franklin Pierce after two years at junior college in Florida. He’s a slick-fielding shortstop with a good arm, and he’ll be a key player in the middle of the Ravens’ infield this season.
-Joey Morrone: A transfer from UConn, Morrone is another New England native who will add depth to the Franklin Pierce infield. He’s a gritty player with a good eye at the plate, and he’ll be looking to make an impact as a utility man this season.

-Matt Genereux: A local product from New Hampshire, Genereux comes to Franklin Pierce after three years at Keene State College He’s a speedster on the bases and an excellent defender in center field, and he’ll be looking to provide a spark at the top of the Ravens’ lineup this season.
-Tyler McVicar: Another New Hampshire native, McVicar comes to Franklin Pierce after two years at NHTI. He’s a power hitter with good pop in his bat, and he figures to see time primarily in left field this season. Rounding out the outfield corps is sophomore transfer Chris Sweeney (St. John’s), who will provide depth in all three outfield spots.
Pitchers:
-Derek Bergman: A hard-throwing right-hander from Massachusetts, Bergman comes to Franklin Pierce after two years at Holyoke Community College He figures to be a key member of the Ravens’ bullpen this season, and he could see time as a setup man or closer.
-Sean Carley: A crafty lefty from Rhode Island Carley comes to Franklin Pierce after four years at Bryant University He’ll add veteran experience to the Ravens’ pitching staff, and he’ll be looking to contribute out of the bullpen this season. Also joining the pitching staff are freshmen righties Tom Harper (Nashua South) and Matt Ward (Central Catholic), who will both look to make an immediate impact on the mound for Franklin Pierce
Franklin Pierce Coaching Staff
Head Coach Don Viines enters his 21st season at the helm of the Franklin Pierce program in 2019. Associate head coach A.J. Cancela (11th season) and Assistant Coach Nick Henkel (sixth season) round out the staff. Henkel also serves as the team’s pitching coach, while Cancela works with the hitters and infielders.

How the Team fared Last Season
The Franklin Pierce baseball team is gearing up for another season and they are looking to build on the success they had last year. The team finished with a record of 24-14 and made it to the conference tournament semifinals.
This year’s team will have some Key Players returning, such as senior pitcher Matt Borders, who was named First Team All-Conference last season. Junior infielder Zachary Damphousse and sophomore outfielder Ryan Quinn will also be key contributors for the team.
The team is looking to have another successful season and make it back to the conference tournament With a mix of experienced players and some new faces, the team is looking to surprise some people and make a run at the conference title
