Pitchers
-Senior ace John Doe will anchor the pitching staff. He’s coming off a strong junior season in which he posted a 3.42 ERA and struck out 73 batters in 80 innings.
-Junior right-hander Jane Smith is expected to be the team’s number two starter. She was solid as a sophomore, going 10-5 with a 3.86 ERA.
-Sophomore lefty Ryan Mueller will round out the starting rotation. He was outstanding as a freshman, going 9-2 with a 2.89 ERA and earning Freshman of the Year honors in the conference.

-At first base, senior Sam Johnson returns after hitting .306 with eight home runs and 40 RBIs last season. He was named First Team All-Conference last year and is one of the team’s leaders both on and off the field.
-Junior second baseman Julie McDonald will start at second base after seeing time at both second base and shortstop last season. She hit .258 with one home run and 20 RBIs while also stealing 10 bases in 11 attempts.
-Sophomore shortstop Abby Jones had a stellar freshman campaign, hitting .367 with four home runs 35 RBIs, and 13 stolen bases en route to being named Conference Rookie of the Year.. She’ll look to build on that success this season as she anchors the infield defense from her shortstop position .
