As Keiser University enters its second season of Collegiate Baseball we look to improve on last year’s effort. Head Coach Matt Cleveland has assembled a talented and hardworking group of student-athletes that will represent the Seahawks proudly this spring.

We have a mix of experience and youth, with 12 returners and 10 newcomers. Our pitching staff is led by returning starters Franklyn Rodriguez (6-1, 2.51 ERA) and Danny Hernandez (5-2, 3.86 ERA). Newcomers Julian Rodriguez (transfer from Indian River State College) and Kevin Martinez (transfer from Eastfield College) will also play big roles on the mound.

Position players returning from last year include All-Sunshine State Conference selection Mikey Polchinski (.376 batting average 37 RBI), who will again anchor the infield at first base, as well as third baseman Oscar Torres (.307 batting average 21 RBI) and outfielders Connor Fitzgerald (.313 batting average 27 RBI) and Daniel Rosiak (.284 batting average 28 RBI). The team will also welcome back catcher Dylan Dukes (.286 batting average 16 RBI), who missed most of last season with an injury.
