The game-winning shot
The game-winning shot is one of the most exciting and dramactic moments in all of sports. When the game is on the line and the clock is ticking down, there is nothing like it.
In basketball, the game-winning shot is often the difference between winning and losing. A successful last-second shot can give a team the boost it needs to win a close game
Lamar University’s basketball team made a game-winning shot against conference rivals Mcneese State on January 27, 2020. The Cowboys were up by two points with only seconds remaining on the clock when Lamar’s Josh Nzeakor made a layup to give the Cardinals a one-point lead. McNeese State’s desperation attempt at a buzzer-beater was unsuccessful, and Lamar came away with the win.
The game-winning shot is always a thrilling moment, but it means even more when it comes against a rival team. That’s exactly what happened with Lamar’s recent win against McNeese State.
