2020 Lewis Baseball Schedule
The 2020 Lewis baseball schedule is Here! The Flyers will open up their season on the road against conference foe, Southern Illinois on February 14th. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. The team’s home opener will be on February 25th, against Bradley.
Schedule Highlights
With the 2020 baseball season set to begin in just a few weeks, the Lewis University athletic department has released the team’s schedule. The Flyers will play a total of 56 games, 27 of which will be at home at Neil Carey Stadium.
Highlights of the schedule include non-conference matchups against Michigan State Kentucky, and Notre Dame as well as three games against in-state rival Bradley. The team will also host the annual Joe Nuxhall Classic tournament in mid-March.
Conference play will begin on April 3rd when Lewis travels to take on Frostburg State The Flyers will also have home series against Seton Hill Mercyhurst, and Pennsylvania State Altoona
The regular season will come to a close with a three-game series at home against Indianapolis from May 14-16.
The 2020 Great Lakes Valley conference tournament is scheduled to begin on May 21st at Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana.

This season, we are excited to welcome four new assistant coaches to the staff.
Season Outlook
The 2020 Lewis Baseball Schedule is here, and the team is looking to build on last season’s successful campaign. The team will once again compete in the Midwest Conference and they are looking to make a return to the conference tournament They will also be looking to take another step forward in their quest for a conference championship Head Coach Nate Thompson and his staff have put together a challenging schedule that includes games against some of the best teams in the country. The team will open the season on February 14th with a three-game series against Grand Valley State They will then travel to Florida for spring break where they will play a neutral site game against Tampa and then participate in the RussMat Invitational. After their trip to Florida, they will return home for a three-game series against North Central College The team will then take on nationally ranked opponents such as Illinois Wesleyan, Wheaton, and Benedictine before wrapping up their regular season with a three-game series against Marian University
History of Lewis Baseball
The Lewis Flyers baseball team has a long and storied history dating back to 1931. The team has produced many Major League Baseball players, including Hall of Famer Frank Thomas The Flyers have won numerous conference championships and have made several trips to the NCAA Division II World Series The 2020 season promises to be an exciting one, so be sure to check out the schedule and catch a game!

Q: When does the season start?
A: The 2020 season will start on Saturday, February 22.
Q: How many games are on the schedule?
A: 56
Q: Who are we playing?
A: We will be playing 12 teams in total. 6 of those teams will be from our conference (Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference), and the other 6 will be from outside of our conference.
Some of the teams we will be playing are: Illinois Wesleyan University John Carroll University Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and Wheaton College (IL).
Q: Where are the games being played?
A: Most of our home games will be played at Ron Kandus Field, located on campus. However, there are also a few away games scheduled.
Q: When do tickets go on sale?
A: Tickets for all home games will go on sale February 3, 2020.
