The Lone Star baseball league is a new, independent baseball league that will begin play in May 2020 with six teams across Texas.
The Lone Star Baseball League- An Introduction
The Lone Star Baseball League was founded in 2016 with the goal of providing high-quality competitive baseball at a reasonable price point. The league is made up of six teams, each based in Texas. The teams are the Corpus Christi Hooks the San Antonio Missions, the El Paso Chihuahuas, the Midland RockHounds, the Amarillo Sod Poodles and the Frisco RoughRiders.
The league plays a 96-game schedule from April through September, with each team playing every other team in the league 18 times. The top four teams at the end of the regular season advance to the playoffs, with the first- and second-place teams receiving a bye to the semifinals.
The Corpus Christi Hooks are the defending champions of the Lone Star Baseball League having won back-to-back titles in 2018 and 2019.

The league was founded in 1995 by former Texas Rangers pitcher Nolan Ryan and then-Houston Astros owner Drayton McLane Jr. The league originally only had four teams, but due to the popularity of the league, it has grown to include six teams.
The league is made up of players who have either played in the Major Leagues or have been drafted out of High School or college by a Major League team. The average age of a player in the Lone Star Baseball League is 31 years old.

Disch-Falk Field- This is the home stadium of the Austin Senators ,and it is located in Austin ,Texas .Disch Falk Field was built in 1974 ,and has gone though multiple renovations since then . It has underwent its most recent renovation in 2017 ,disch Falk Field now holds just over 8500 Fans .

The Lone Star Baseball League was founded in 2013 as an independent baseball league. The league consisted of six teams that played a 60-game schedule. The league featured players from all over the world, including the United States Canada, Japan, Mexico, and South Korea
In 2014, the league expanded to eight teams and began play in May. The league added the San Angelo Colt .45s and the Texas Tornadoes. The Tornadoes were originally scheduled to play in Lubbock, but construction delays forced them to relocate to Waco.
On July 8, 2014, the league held its first ever All-Star game at Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, Texas. The game featured some of the Top Players in the league and was broadcast live on ESPN3.
The 2015 season saw the league expand to ten teams with the addition of the Houston Apollos and the San Antonio Flying Chanclas The season was also marked by some great individual performances, including pitcher Sang-ho Lee of the Texas Tornadoes who threw a no-hitter against the San Angelo Colt .45s on June 5th.
The 2016 season was relatively quiet in comparison to previous years, but saw another expansion team join the league in the form of the East Texas Pump Jacks.
The 2017 season was marred by financial difficulties for several teams, leading to the mid-season folding of both the San Antonio Flying Chanclas and the Houston Apollos. Despite these difficulties, several players had standout seasons, including pitcher Jong-wook Park of the Pump Jacks who led the league in strikeouts with 122.
The 2018 season is currently underway and has so far been free of any major controversies or problems.
