LSU has played in twenty-eight NCAA Tournaments, winning six National Championships and fourteen SEC championships. In 2015, LSU became the first school to reach the College World Series seven times in eight years. The Tigers play their home games in Alex Box Stadium, which opened in 2009 and seats 10,326. LSU went to Omaha eight straight times from 1984 to 1991, setting a CWS record for consecutive appearances that was later tied by Texas (1999–2007) and exceeded by Florida (2005–2011). The Tigers haveAppearances & SEC Championships also set an NCAA record with thirteen consecutive wins in NCAA tournament play (10-0 in 2009; 3-0 en route to the 2000 national title).

The program has been ranked No. 1 nationally seven times by Collegiate Baseball 1991 (first half), 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997 (first half), 2003 and 2008; it has claimed No. 1 rankings in 16 of Collegiate Baseball’s 37 weekly polls during Skip Bertman’s tenure as Head Coach from 1984 through 2001.[1] Five times LSU has been a No., 2 overall seed: in 1986, 1987, 1997, 2003 and 2008.[2][3]

From 1959 to 1961,[4] LSU had a streak of 27 consecutive wins at Alex Box Stadium on its way to three straight College World Series titles.[5] The Tigers’ longest Winning Streak at the stadium is 24 games set during the 2013 season.[6][7]

LSU fans are also some of the most creative fans in college baseball They are always coming up with new and creative ways to support their team. For example, at one game they turned their entire section into a giant beach party complete with palm trees and sand.

No matter what, LSU fans will always be there to support their team through thick and thin.

The Rivalry between LSU and Tulane is one of the most storied and intense in college baseball It began in 1893 with a game between the two schools and has been played annually since 1907. The series is currently tied at 106 wins apiece.

The Tigers have won a record eleven College World Series championships and have produced two Heisman Trophy winners.
