Marin Catholic High School has a long and proud tradition of baseball excellence. The school has produced several Major League Baseball players, including Mike Fontenot and Mark McLemore. Marin Catholic has also been a powerhouse at the high school level, winning numerous league and State Championships

The pitching staff is deep and they have a nice mix of power and speed in the lineup. The team is coached by Mike Podres, who has been with the program for six years.

2. Matt Anderson- senior, lefty, deceptive delivery, good command of his pitches
3. Joe Wainhouse- junior, hard throwing righty, Matty’s younger brother
4. Alex Wilcox- sophomore, Newsoms’ favorite player, can pitch and play infield
5. Jack Newsom- freshman, 6’5″ righty with a lot of potential

1. Matt Viti- senior, four year starter, team captain
2. Jack Gunter- sophomore, up and coming player

The Coaches

The Marin Catholic baseball team is coached by Head Coach MikeTerry and assistant coaches Eric Potter, Nick Terry, and Kevin Sullivan. Coach Mike Terry has over 30 years of experience coaching high school baseball He has led the team to 7 league championships and 12 MCAL Championship Games Coach Terry was named MCAL coach of the year in 2009 and 2011. Assistant Coach Eric Potter also has over 30 years of experience coaching high school baseball He has led the team to 5 league championships and 10 MCAL championship games. Coach Potter was named MCAL coach of the year in 2008.

The Facilities

The Marian Catholic baseball team plays their home games at the world-renowned Dodger Stadium The field is considered one of the best in the country and is a must-see for any baseball fan The stadium offers a variety of amenities, including a state-of-the-art clubhouse, a weight room, and a training room.

The Fans

The fans at Marin Catholic Baseball are some of the most dedicated in the country. They show up early to get their spot in the stands, and they stay late to support their team. They wear their team colors proudly, and they are always ready to cheer on their favorite players When you visit Marin Catholic baseball you will see why the fans are such an important part of the game.

The Marin Catholic Baseball Team has been having an outstanding season and the media coverage has been impressive. The team is currently ranked in the top 25 in the nation by Baseball America and they are receiving a lot of attention from scouts.

The team’s success is due in large part to their pitching staff, which includes two of the top 100 prospects in the country. Their ace, Lucas Giolito, is ranked as the #1 prospect in the country by Baseball America and he has already committed to UCLA.

The team’s closer, Matt Tolleson, is also a top 100 prospect and he has already committed to Texas. These two pitchers have been dominant all season and they have been a big reason why the Marin Catholic Baseball team has been so successful.
