Mayfield Basketball is a competitive community basketball club that provides exceptional coaching and training to help our players reach their full potential on and off the court.

We are committed to developing strong, confident and resilient young people who are comfortable working in a team environment and who have the skills to take on leadership roles both on and off the court.

We offer a range of programs for players of all ages and abilities, from our Little Dribblers program for 3-5 year olds, through to our Division 1 Men’s and Women’s teams.

Our Little Dribblers program introduces the Basic Skills of basketball in a fun and friendly environment, while our Division 1 teams compete in some of the toughest competitions in Victoria.

The Mayfield Basketball Training

Mayfield High School’s Basketball Program is one of the top programs in the state, and has produced many college and professional players. The Mayfield basketball training program is designed to help young players reach their full potential.

The program is open to all players in grades 9-12, and provides them with skills training, conditioning, and game play experience. The program also gives players the opportunity to be seen by college scouts and to compete against some of the best players in the state.

The training program is led by Head Coach Steve Smith who has over 25 years of coaching experience at the high school college, and professional levels. Coach Smith has developed a reputation as one of the top basketball coaches in the country, and has helped many players reach their goals of playing at the next level.

The Mayfield Basketball History

Mayfield Basketball, located in Mayfield, Kentucky, is a small private school that has been home to some of the best high school Basketball teams in the state. The school has a rich history of success on the court, dating back to its early days as a member of the Kentucky High School Athletic Association. Today, Mayfield Basketball is a member of the National Association of Interscholastic Athletics and competes in the Mid-Atlantic Conference

The school has produced numerous NBA players including two-time All-Star and former Rookie of the Year Kyrie Irving Other notable alumni include one-time All-Star and current Detroit Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy and former NBA player and current Head Coach of the University of Louisville men’s basketball team Rick Pitino.
