John Ryan Murphy was drafted by the New York Yankees in the second round of the 2009 MLB Draft out High School He made his MLB debut with the Minnesota Twins in 2013. He was then traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks during the 2014 season. After being designated for assignment by the Diamondbacks, he was claimed off waivers by the Pittsburgh Pirates The Pirates traded him back to the Twins during 2015 season. After being designated for assignment again by the Twins, he was claimed off waivers by the New York Yankees He became a free agent after 2018 season, and signed a minor league contract with an invite to spring training with the Seattle Mariners on January 18, 2019.
Konrad Schmidt is a German-born American professional Baseball Catcher who is currently a free agent He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for
the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Diego Padres Schmidt bats and throws right-handed, stands 6 feet 1 inch (1.85 m) tall, and weighs 210 pounds (95 kg).
Tony Wolters is an American professional baseball catcher for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball(MLB). He previously played in MLB for the Cleveland Indians from 2015 through 2017. Wolters throws and bats left-handed, stands 5 feet 10 inches (1.78 m), and weighs 185 pounds (84 kg).

The Memphis Redbirds outfield is loaded with top prospects this season. Here’s a look at who they are and what they bring to the team.
Infielders
Dylan Carlson is the top prospect in the Cardinals organization and one of the best outfield prospects in baseball. The 20-year-old was drafted in the first round of the 2016 draft out of high school and he’s been raking ever since. In 2018, he hit .292/.371/.520 with 21 home runs and 15 stolen bases between High-A Palm Beach and Double-A Springfield. He’s considered an elite defender in center field, and he has all the tools to be a superstar at the Major League level.
Lane Thomas was acquired by the Cardinals from Toronto in last year’s Troy Tulowitzki trade, and he immediately became one of the organization’s top prospects The 23-year-old hit .264/.354/.462 with 27 home runs and 25 stolen bases between Double-A New Hampshire and Memphis last season. He has plus power and speed, and he projects as a solid defender in center field.
Adolis Garcia was signed out of Cuba last year, and he quickly made his way to Memphis after impressing at Double-A Springfield. The 26-year-old hit .306/.340/.547 with 18 home runs in just 66 games with the Redbirds last season. He has plus power and projects as a solid corner outfielder at the Major League level.
Starting pitchers
The Memphis Redbirds are the Triple-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals They play their home games at AutoZone Park in Memphis, Tennessee. The team is named for the cardinals that make their home in the city’s St. Louis Zoo.
The Redbirds were founded in 1998 and have won four Pacific Coast League championships, in 2000, 2009, 2010, and 2018. They also won the Triple-A National Championship Game in 2009 and 2018.
The team’s current starting pitchers are:
John Gant: Gant was acquired by the Cardinals in a trade with the New York Mets in 2018. He made his Major League debut with the Cardinals that same year and has pitched for them ever since. In 2019, he had a 4-6 record with a 4.76 ERA in 19 games (14 starts).
Daniel Ponce De Leon Ponce de Leon made his Major League debut with the Cardinals in 2019 after spending parts of seven seasons in the minors. He had a 3-1 record with a 2.70 ERA in 12 games (seven starts) during his rookie season.
Kodi Whitley: Whitley was drafted by the Cardinals in 2017 and made his Major League debut with them in 2019. In 22 games (one start), he had a 2-2 record with a 4.08 ERA last season.
Relief pitchers

-Aaron Sanchez: A left-handed pitcher with a powerful arm, Sanchez is one of the team’s most experienced relief pitchers He has been with the team for several years and has been a key contributor to their success.
-Javier Lopez: Another left-handed pitcher, Lopez is a rookie who has impressed with his play so far. He has shown good control and has been able to get batters out consistently.
-Wesley Wright: A veteran right-handed pitcher, Wright brings a lot of experience to the team. He has been successful in his career and is someone that the younger pitchers can look up to.
-Ryne Stanek: A right-handed rookie, Stanek was drafted by the team in the first round of the recent draft. He has yet to make his debut, but he is someone that the team is very excited about.
Coaches
The Memphis Baseball Team has several coaches, each with their own specialties. Here is a brief overview of who they are and what they do.
Pitching coach Derek Johnson is in charge of the pitchers. He works with them on their technique, helps them develop new pitches, and makes sure they are physically prepared to pitch.
Hitting coach Ryan Bartholomew is in charge of the hitters. He works with them on their swing, helps them develop a batting plan, and makes sure they are physically prepared to hit.
Assistant coach Brian Gorman is in charge of the catchers. He works with them on their technique, helps them develop a catching plan, and makes sure they are physically prepared to catch.
Coach Chris Maloney is the team’s dugout coach. He is responsible for communicating with the players during the game and helping them make strategic decisions.
