The tournament will take place over two weeks in March, with games beginning on March 6 and running through March 20. A total of sixteen teams from around the world will compete in the round-robin style tournament, with the top four teams advancing to the semi-finals.

The Mingo Bay Baseball Tournament began in 2016 as a way to showcase the talent of up-and-coming players from countries that are not typically Red Baseball powers. The inaugural edition of the tournament was held in Cuba, and subsequent editions have been held in Puerto Rico (2018) and Panama (2020).
