Mt. Sac Announces 2019 Baseball Roster

The 2019 San Bernardino Valley college baseball team will have a lot of new faces as the Mounties seek to return to the playoffs.

The Mounties baseball team is excited to announce their 2019 season roster. The team is composed of returning members and new recruits who are sure to give fans a season to remember. Get to know the team below and be sure to come out and support them this spring!

The team’s returning core of six Position players and two pitchers gives the Mounties a solid foundation to build around for the upcoming 2019 baseball season

Newcomers to the squad

The Mounties Baseball Team has announced their 2019 roster, which includes several new faces.

Joining the squad are outfielders Jeremy Ng and Michael Tyler, infielder Nate Johnson, catcher Jake Wareham, and pitchers Ryan Wilson and Matt Horwich.

“We’re excited to add these talented young men to the Mounties baseball family ” said coach John Smith “They bring a wealth of experience and skill to the team, and we’re looking forward to seeing them contribute to our success this season.”

The Mounties will open their 2019 season on February 15th at home against Desert Ridge High School

The team’s strengths

The team will have a good mix of experience and youth as veterans like Matt Chapman Khris Davis, and Marcus Semien will be joined by prospects like Jesus Luzardo and A.J. Puk. The pitching staff will be anchored by ace Sean Manaea, who is fresh off a no-hitter against the Red Sox and will also feature veteran Brett Anderson and promising youngster Luzardo. The team’s strengths appear to be its starting pitching and its power bats, as the A’s should be able to put up some big numbers at the plate.
