The Navy men’s Basketball team scored a Big Win in their Season Opener against Army, winning 92-83. The Midshipmen were led by junior guard Tim Abromaitis, who scored a career-high 33 points. The game was played in front of a sellout crowd at Alumni Hall in Annapolis, Maryland.
The Navy women’s basketball team also won their Season Opener defeating Army 73-65. The Lady Midshipmen were led by senior guard Janae industries, who scored 21 points.
Navy Basketball tipped off their season with a bang, scoring a Big Win in their opener. The team looked sharp from the start, sinking shots and playing tough defense. Their hard work paid off, and they left the court with a victory.

Loyola scored four straight points to get within six points, 30-24, but Navy went into halftime with a 32-24 lead.
In the second half, Navy pushed its lead to 13 points, 39-26, with 16:57 left to play. Loyola got within eight points, 41-33, but Navy answered with an 11-2 run over the next four minutes to take a 52-35 lead. The Greyhounds got no closer than 15 points over the final 10 minutes of play as Navy cruised to a 70-57 victory.
