The team has worked very hard all season long and their dedication has finally paid off. The players and coaches are all thrilled with the victory, and they are looking forward to the future. The Notre Dame men’s basketball team has won the 2020 Division I NCAA championship! The Irish defeated the University of Connecticut in the final game 60-54. It is the first time in Notre Dame’s history that they have won the Division I NCAA championship

This has been an incredible season for the Irish, who have also been ranked #1 in the nation for several weeks. The team finishes the season with a record of 32-6 overall and 20-4 in conference play

The Notre Dame women’s Basketball team also had a great season, finishing with a record of 29-3 overall and 17-1 in conference play The women’s team did not make it to the Division I NCAA tournament but they did win the Women’s National Invitation Tournament (WNIT), defeating Michigan State in the final game, 73-61. This is the second time in Notre Dame’s history that they have won the NIT championship
